I am grateful and full of anticipation as I write to you today. As we come to the close of this year and the beginning of my 10th year here at Chippewa Lake Community Church, I feel blessed to have had the privilege of being your pastor.
Together we have experienced many great successes and blessings of God. It is through His great power at work among us that we have seen and heard many testimonies of people’s lives being changed and much spiritual growth, in both individual lives as well as the church family. We recognize that it has been through God’s goodness and grace we have accomplished so many things for the kingdom of God and our community.
The enemy has tried to convince us to give up but there is no quit in us, so we march forward to victory, lifting holy hands, and giving God the glory for all he has done, and simply say thank you Lord.
To all the saints of God who are part of the ministry of Chippewa Lake Church, I applaud you for your great work, the time you give, the sacrifices you make and your spirit of unity that has enabled us to accomplish the many challenges that have been put before us. We have worked as a team and grown as a team and have been blessed as a church family.
Anticipation is the word that is in my heart, and it speaks of the renewed vision, hope, and faith that I expect to see as we move into greater levels of devotion, participation, worship, sacrifice and giving.
If we want great things to happen in the coming year, we must be willing to do great things for God. The challenge before us is for us to do “new” things that foster spiritual and numerical growth in our church family. This may mean new steps of faith, new steps of service, new areas of ministry, new ways to reach out, new commitments to the Lord and his will for the church.
So let us enter this year with the mindset that we won’t settle for less than the best for the Lord. God deserves our best because he gave his best for us. Thank God for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May we have a blessed and prosperous 10th year together!
